Lunches and Healthy Eating

School lunches are cooked on-site by our catering providers, Chartwells. All Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils are entitled to a free school meal. The cost for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 is £1.90 per meal, if you are not entitled to free school meals. If your family is entitled to free school meals, then there is, of course, no charge.

If you would like to find out more about meals, nutritional information, advice on special diets and other latest news, visit the Chartwell website here.

If you wish to find out more about Free School Meals, or check to see if your family may be eligible, please follow this link.

The latest Chartwell’s menu for lunches at West Wimbledon Primary School we have received may be viewed here.

As the food we provide for your children is such an important matter, the School is setting up regular meetings between Chartwells, representative parents and children and the School’s leadership team to keep under review the quality of meals and the choices available. These meetings are likely to be half-termly and in the early afternoon, after lunch has  been served.
