Lunches and Healthy Eating

School lunches are cooked on-site by our catering providers, Chartwells. All Reception, Years 1 and 2 pupils are entitled to a free school meal. The cost for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 has risen by £2.00 per meal, from September 2017. If your family is entitled to free school meals, then there is, of course, no charge.

The current Chartwell's menu for lunches at West Wimbledon Primary School may be viewed here.

As the food we provide for your children is such an important matter, the School maintains regular meetings between Chartwells, Merton contract representatives and the School's leadership team to keep under review the quality of meals and the choices available. In addition , the Headteacher regularly runs announced "Parent/Come Dine With Me" sessions, where the first half-dozen parents cn come in and sample that day's meals.

If you would like to find out more about meals, nutritional information, advice on special diets and other latest news, visit the Chartwell website here.
